I am currently teaching a class in spoken English to a group of teachers from overseas. One area of spoken English that they are very interested in are idioms. Last week in class I organized the class into small groups and assigned each group an idiom. Once they had studied and understood the idiom they had to present it to the class in a dialog. This was a great activity for their American English pronunciation.
