Medical English Pronunciation Audio
The physicians who I work in my Skype accent reduction coaching program need to communicate clearly both with their colleagues and with their patients.
When I teach them to communicate more clearly with their patients, we focus on two areas~
1. Using the correct pronunciation of medical terms.
2. Using the correct intonation patterns.
Why intonation patterns?
Pronouncing medical terminology correctly is just part of good medical communication. Physicians also need to speak American English with a warm & caring intonation.
They need to speak with a tone and pace that enables their patients feel comfortable & important.
Medical English Audio lesson
Here’s a 22 part dialog lesson for you called American Pronunciation-A Visit to the Doctor.
The short lessons will help you pronounce words correctly and use American style intonation.
You can listen to the MP3 files online or download them for use on your phone.
Say these over and over until the intonation feels natural and automatic.
