A couple of my accent reduction clients are trying to improve their American English pronunciation in order to pass the TOEFL test.
I have been working with them on the 15 American English vowel sounds, syllable stress patterns and consonant sounds including the sounds of T and the sounds of TH.
Now, while I’m NOT a big fan of pronunciation software (at least for stress and intonation) there is a software called Pronunciation in English that some people are using to prepare for the test.
This software is co-branded by the Educational Testing Service. Their promotional materials say that it is the recommended for pronunciation practice software for the TOEFL & TOEIC exams.
Here is the link to the product on amazon-
Pronunciation in English- Expanded Version
I have not used this software myself but it is used in the language labs of schools such as the University of California and the University of South Carolina.
