One of the books that I use with my American accent clients is called Speak Business English Like an American.
I use this book to teach common American English idioms and to practice complex intonation patterns in dialogs. This is a challenge but many of my clients really want to practice these skills.
This book is not the best option if you are looking for a basic foundation in the American accent and pronunciation.
For that I’d recommend you check out Mastering the American Accent
Most of my clients like Mastering the American Accent as a first book.
