This week many people have contacted me to ask about the schwa vowel sound. This VERY COMMON vowel sound is found in both American and British English.
The symbol for schwa is /ə/.
The sound it makes is a weak “uh”.
While this little “uh” may not seem like an important sound, it is...in fact /ə/ is the most common vowel sound in spoken English.
That means that you MUST know about the schwa sound if you want to speak English like an American.
You can watch my movie on the SCHWA SOUND here-2:33 minutes
I teach you how to use the schwa sound in my online course called American Accent for IT Professionals. Click HERE to read more about this self study course.
