Who We Are
Susan Ryan, MA (ESL) - Accent Reduction Coach
My name is Susan Ryan. When I started ConfidentVoice in 2007, my goal was to design programs that
would teach professionals from around the world to speak American English with clarity and
confidence.
Since then, I have worked with engineers and scientists from India, IT professionals from Vietnam and Thailand,
professors from China and Singapore, teachers from the Philippines and many others. These professionals were able
to improve their American English pronunciation by taking my accent reduction coaching .
My credentials include a B.A. in World History, a teaching degree, and a Master’s degree in Adult ESL. I am
currently an active member of TESOL and a weekly contributor to ELT Weekly. I am also a member of Toastmasters
International. (You may have read their interview with me in the February 2011 Toastmaster Magazine.) If you are an
International Toastmaster please feel free to contact me with questions you have about your accent. I would love to
talk with you!
